In its thoughts and principles, Holy Sophia University believes that Christian theological education is a journey of discipleship, which we have preserved since the first patristic centuries, and that which must be provided in a manner of continuous service. Moreover, it must also be of the highest approved standards and at a very affordable cost.
Subsequently, Holy Sophia University is partnering with Kairos University, which offers a unique system with the aforementioned standards while using the “Contextualized Learning” method in Christian education.
Contextualized Learning allows students to learn through their community, heritage, and life realities surrounding them. As a contextualization partner of Kairos University, Holy Sophia University will provide local mentors, learning resources, and support for Kairos University students. The partnership also creates a path for interested and eligible Holy Sophia students to earn an accredited bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree at Kairos University while staying connected to our university and their Coptic Orthodox community, which bears the characteristics of the ancient wisdom of their Patristic heritage, in light of the international education standards.
After several conversations over several months with the President and Dean of Kairos University, we decided to become a contextualization partner of Kairos. Holy Sophia, in its partnership with Kairos, will provide local mentorship, learning resources, and discipleship using the “Contextualized Learning” system. Therefore, learning experiences offered by our Coptic Orthodox instructors from Egypt and the United States in English and Arabic (or any other needed language in the future for continuous discipleship) can be leveraged and incorporated into a student’s Kairos University coursework. Kairos University’s accredited and affordable programs are available to interested and eligible Holy Sophia University students through the partnership.
In introducing Holy Sophia University, Kairos University used one of Holy Sophia’s slogans and wrote: “Holy Sophia University exists to bring transformative and accessible learning experiences rooted in the ancient wisdom of our Patristic heritage. Through the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ–the Holy Sophia-Holy Sophia’s goal is to enable the embodiment of Coptic Orthodoxy for healthy dialogue within the complexities of contemporary culture.”
Kairos University has listed Holy Sophia University as a contextualization partner on its website. Holy Sophia University will provide local mentors, learning resources, and support for Kairos students. Students have access to the Digital Theological Library, which contains the treasures of the Fathers, commentaries, and publications that every researcher would need.
We thank Dr. Greg Henson, President of Kairos University, along with the Kairos community, for supporting us and for their distinguished service in expanding the Christian education community of Kairos to include the mentoring, learning resources, and student engagement support offered globally by the Coptic Orthodox Holy Sophia University. تعاون وشراكة أكاديمية
بين جامعة هولي صوفيا وجامعة كايروس الأمريكية
ترى جامعة هولي صوفيا في فكرها ومبدأها أن التعليم اللاهوتي المسيحي هو رحلة تلمذة بحسب ما احتفظنا به منذ القرون الآبائية الاولى، ولابد من توفره بصورة خدمية متواصلة، ولابد أن يكون له معاييررفيعة المستوى ومعتمدة، وبأقل التكاليف. ولذلك قامت جامعة هولي صوفيا بالتعاون مع جامعة كايروس الآمريكية المسيحية والتي تقدم نظاماً فريداً بنفس المعايير المذكورة أعلاه، مع استخدام طريقة للتعليم المسيحي تسمى “التعليم السياقي” ويتيح التعيلم السياقي للدارسين التعلم من خلال مجتمعهم وتراثهم وحقائق الحياة المحيطة بهم.
وباعتبارها شريكًا متعاوناً مع جامعة كايروس، ستوفر جامعة هولي صوفيا اساتذتها المحليين ومواردها التعليمية دعمًا لطلاب جامعة كايروس. وتخلق هذه الشراكة أيضاً طريقًا للدارسين بجامعة هولي صوفيا المقبلين للحصول على درجات البكالوريوس أو الماجستير أو الدكتوراه لتكون معتمدة من خلال جامعة كايروس بينما هم يستمدون تعليمهم من جامعتنا “هولي صوفيا” ومن مجتمعهم القبطي الأرثوذكسي، الذي يحمل خصائص الحكمة القديمة لآبائنا وتراثنا القبطي الارثوذكسي في ظل وجود معايير التعليم العالمية.
بعد عدة محادثات على مدار عدة أشهر مع رئيس وعمداء جامعة كايروس، قررنا أن تكون جامعة هولي صوفيا شريكًا متعاوناً مع جامعة كايروس. وعليه ستوفر جامعة هولي صوفيا، في شراكتها مع جامعة كايروس، اساتذتها المحليين ومواردها التعليمية وطرق التلمذة عن طريق نظام “التعليم السياقي”. لذلك يمكن الاستفادة من خبرات التدريس التي يقدمها اساتذتنا الأقباط الأرثوذكس من مصر والولايات المتحدة باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية (أو أي لغة أخرى تطلب في المستقبل للتلمذة المستمرة) وتقديمها في دوراتها الدراسية في جامعة كايروس. وستتوفر هذه البرامج بجامعة كايروس لتكون معتمدة وبتكاليف تناسب الدارسين بجامعة هولي صوفيا من خلال هذه الشراكة.
وفي تقديمها لجامعة هولي صوفيا، استخدمت جامعة كايروس أحد شعارات هولي صوفيا وكتبت أنها (جامعة هولي صوفيا): “تقدم تعليمًا مؤثرًا و له جذوره في الحكمة القديمة لتراثنا الآبائي. ومن خلال ربنا يسوع المسيح – الحكمة المقدسة – يتم تجسيد التعليم القبطي الأرثوذكسي لايجاد حوارًا صحيًا في ظل تعقيدات القضايا المعاصرة الحديثة.”
ستقوم جامعة كايروس بإدراج جامعة هولي صوفيا “كشريك معاون عن طريق التعليم السياقي” وذلك على موقعها الإلكتروني. وستقدم جامعة هولي صوفيا اساتذتها المحليين ومواردها التعليمية دعمًا للدارسين في كايروس. ويمكن للدارسين استخدام المكتبة اللاهوتية الرقمية بكايروس والتي تحتوي على كنوز الآباء والتفاسير والابحاث المنشورة والتي يحتاج اليها كل باحث.
ونحن نشكر الدكتور جريج هينسون، رئيس جامعة كايروس، إلى جانب مجتمع كايروس، لدعمهم لنا ولخدمتهم المتميزة في توسيع مجتمع التعليم المسيحي في كايروس ليشمل ما تقدمه جامعة هولي صوفيا القبطية الارثوذكسية عالمياً من ناحية التعليم وموارد التعليم ودعم الدارسين. ليباركهم الرب على تعب محبتهم.
