Degree Pathways

Holy Sophia University offers two distinct pathways:

1. Ecclesiastical & Theological Degrees (Holy Sophia University)

Students may pursue theological studies directly through Holy Sophia University. Degrees granted in this pathway are non-ATS-accredited ecclesiastical degrees, intended for ministry, theological study, and service within Church contexts.

2. Accredited Degree Pathway (Kairos University)

Interested and eligible students may enroll in Kairos University to pursue ATS-accredited degrees while remaining connected to Holy Sophia University.

In this pathway:

ATS-accredited degrees are awarded by Kairos University
Students remain connected to Holy Sophia’s mentoring, instruction, and community
Learning takes place through a contextualized model integrating Church, culture, and academic study

Contextualized Learning Model

As a contextualization partner, Holy Sophia University contributes its faculty, courses, and formation model to a system of theological education that integrates academic rigor with lived ecclesial experience.
