In this course, you will learn to read Bohairic Coptic in its modern pronunciation, with an eye towards use in the Divine Liturgy. You will also learn the basics of Coptic grammar and syntax. No prior knowledge of Coptic is needed in order to enroll in this course.

His Grace Bishop David, Bishop of the Christ-loving Diocese of New York & New England is the Vice-President of Holy Sophia University. His Grace was ordained a General Bishop in 1999 by His Holiness Pope Shenouda III and a diocesan Bishop in 2013 by HH Pope Tawadrous II. He received a Master's in Pastoral Counseling from Fordham University in 2010 and a Master's in Theological Studies from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in 2013. He has dedicated much of his time and service in furthering Coptic Christian education throughout his diocese and beyond.
