In this course (ICON 551), you will learn to write (paint) icons with the expert iconographer, George Philipos through a series of tutorial videos. In addition to other assignments, as you pass the halfway point of the semester, you will be required to write an icon for which you will be evaluated. At the end of the semester, all of the skills learned will be tested through a final piece of iconography. Students are required to purchase their own materials and equipment recommended by the instructor.
