Samuel Kalta, M.B.A.
Deacon Samuel Kalta graduated from Ain Shams University in 1987 with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting & Finance. He received a certificate in Accounting from the American University in Cairo. Upon immigration to the United States, he completed his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Johnson & Wales University in 2000. Dn. Samuel graduated from the seminary program under the auspices of H.H. Pope Tawadros II and H.G. Bishop Moussa run by the Youth Bishopric in Cairo with the highest degree in Pastoral Care and a concentration in “Youth in the Diaspora.” He currently works for the U.S. Department of Defense and is an associate member of the ACFE, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Dn. Samuel has an undeniably strong passion for the church and uses his background in business to aid in the church’s continued establishment in addition to the refining of her preexisting administration. Dn. Samuel has served on the Board of Deacons and the Board of Trustees in Rhode Island, New London, CT, and Hamden, CT for several years, which culminated in his ordination in 2018 as a full deacon at Virgin Mary and Archangel Michael Coptic Orthodox Church in Hamden, CT, where he resides with his wife and three daughters.
